Suprabhat Bhattacharjee:
Suprabhat Bhattacharjee is a young tabla player from kolkata. He is taking talim from Pt. Samar Saha from the age of 6. He has performed in some of the prestigious music conferences in kolkata as well as outside like Doverlane music academy, dakshini sangeet sammilanee, West Bengal state music
conference etc.
Apart from his musical career, he is a final year undergraduate engineering student at the Radiophysics Electronics department of the University of Calcutta
Swarnendu Mandal:
is a young Sarod player of Senia Shahajahanpur Gharana and a composer based in Kolkata, India, known for his melodic style of playing. He has been a scholar of the esteemed ITC Sangeet Research Academy since 2013.
Swarnendu started performing in and around India and abroad at the age of 13. He has many notable performances under his belt, including ‘ITC Sangeet Sammelan’ (2022), Italian Consulate General concerts at Kolkata and Bhubaneshwar (2022), Railway Ministry of India (2022) ‘Asia Music Summit’ (2020), and Ministry of Sports and Culture at Taiwan (2019). He is a B-high grade artist and regular performer at the All India Radio.
Swarnendu is a fortunate student of late Padmabhushan Pt. Buddhadev Dasgupta. He is currently under the tutelage of Shri Abir Hussain. Besides being a practitioner, he is a teacher to students from India and abroad. Swarnendu is simultaneously pursuing M.Sc in Geology from Jadavpur University, Kolkata.
Kalyan Majumdar:
Kalyan Majumdar is a leading Sitar player of his generation who has performed in innumerable prestigious concerts all over India and abroad. He is a regular artiste of All India Radio and Doordarshan and is an empanelled artiste of ICCR, Govt. of India. Kalyan has stood 1st in the All India Radio Music Competition, 2015 and won the President’s Award.
Kalyan has performed in many prestigious concerts, which includes SIFAS (Singapore), Singapore Tagore Society, Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan, Jalandhar, Winter Festival of India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi, NCPA, Mumbai, ITC SRA Sammelan, Vadodara, Dover Lane Music Conference (periodical), Kolkata, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi and many more. He has had the rare opportunity of performing in front of The Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi, The Chief Minister of West Bengal Smt Mamata Banerjee and The Governor of West Bengal Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar. He is a National Scholarship Holder from Govt. of India and a recipient of The Telegraph Award, 2014.
Kalyan formally started learning Sitar from his father Pt. Subhajit Majumdar at the age of four. Thereafter he learnt Sitar from Pt. Soumitra Lahiri and the sarod maestro Pt. Buddhadev Das Gupta. He is currently a Senior Scholar at ITC Sangeet Research Academy under the guidance of Pt. Partho Chatterjee.
