𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢 𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐣𝐨𝐲 𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐲𝐚
Shri Debjoy Bhattacharya is a Hindustani Vocalist and a Music Teacher from Kolkata. He began his musical journey at the age of nine, under the guidance of Shri Partha Pratim Das, a disciple of Late Pandit A. Kanan, the great maestro of the Kirana Gharana. He also learned from Pandit Shantanu Bandopadhyay and Shri Monoranjan Bandopadhyay of Bishnupur Gharana.
After spending about 10 years under their guidance, Debjoy started learning from Pandit Parthasarathi Desikan, one of the most senior disciples of Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty, the living legend of Kasur Patiala Gharana. Under his guidance, he has become a practitioner of Indian Classical Music.
Despite having a pure classical training in the khayal genre, Debjoy can also render the lighter forms such as Thumri, Bhajan, Folk, Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti, Moderns songs, etc. in several languages.
𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢 𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐮 𝐌𝐮𝐤𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐣𝐞𝐞
Shri Debu Mukherjee is a Kathak and Tabla teacher from Kolkata.
He is one of the most senior disciple of Pandit Nanku Maharaj.
He is a music examiner of Rabindra Bharati University and West Bengal State Music Academy for about 45 years.
He has a music school named 'Lahari' in Behala, Kolkata.
