MANDAKINI SWAIN - VOCAL MUSIC
A renowned solo artist in Hindustani vocal music, Mandakini Swain is a regular performer on All India Radio and Doordashan TV.
Amod has supported classical Indian music performances and activities in the tri-state area as an able accompanist and a teacher as well. He maintains an active concert schedule and has accompanied many major artists from India and the US.
Indrajit’s primary talim has been in the veen-kar style of sitar. Drawing on the techniques and idioms of the veena, this style is heard less often these days. He has even collaborated with Jazz legend, Wynton Marsalis, among numerous other feats.
This Grammy Award-winning Artist has performed Indian classical music on the bansuri bamboo flute in concerts and festivals throughout the world. He has been praised by critics and leading Indian musicians as one of the few westerners recognized to have captured the subtlety and beauty of Indian music.
A fabulous performer to watch, Ucchal is one of the finest percussionists in the nation. His lightning fast hands supply the quintessential rhythms that affix the dancing, instruments and the body.
